Youth Night: Identity, Faith, And Mental Health
Our ShineBright team partnered with Circuit Riders for a youth event focused on worship, encouragement, and honest conversations about faith and mental health. The purpose of the night was to create a welcoming space where youth and young adults could feel supported and reminded that they are not alone in the struggles they face throughout everyday life.
The evening began with worship and live music. This helped create an atmosphere where people could step away from the stress and pressure that often comes with school, relationships, family situations, and uncertainty about the future. Throughout the night, conversations centered on the importance of keeping God at the center of life, especially during difficult seasons emotionally and mentally. Our team wanted young people to understand that their struggles do not define them and that they still have purpose and hope for their future. At Shine Bright, we aim to target and minimize mental health struggles by going against what many youth feel. Studies have often shown that during the adolescent years, teens tend to feel alone, isolated, and outcasted. We host events like these to bring a sense of community as well as a space to learn and lean into the comfort of faith.
More than anything, the event focused on creating genuine moments of connection, reflection, and encouragement. Members of our team shared messages about faith, emotional struggles, and the importance of supporting those around us, reminding attendees to continue being a light within their communities. By partnering with organizations like Circuit Riders, we hope to continue creating spaces where young people feel seen, encouraged, and supported as they navigate life’s challenges.
